ADCMS is correct. In our case, the elder did call the next 2 months and I finally told him, why should I go out in service and count time when you can't even get me my magazines to place. That shut him up, but then nothing ever since. I even e-mailed his wife [our cousin] and she can't even answer my emails now.

What is your experience when you stop turning in time?
by gingerbread infor the past year or so, i've been turning in just one or two hours of service time.
it has been mentioned to me from an elder "friend" that i'm never seen at any meetings for field service.
i get his implication.

Hey Joe, You're not alone, we're here for you.
JW's only have conditional love. They will only associate with you if you are in the same box they are in. Itsy bitsy is right. Archeology & history is a great place to start.

Are we all missing the true 'MARK' of the Wild Beast?
by Newly Enlightened indisclaimer: hubby & i have been watching a 5 dvd documentary on the 'secret's of the founding father's' we're not sure if we believe everything they talk about but here is some interesting things to think about..... revelation mentions that the 'mark' would either be on the forehead, [for everyone to see] or, on the right hand [if you make a fist, it is hidden] rev also says that no one can buy or sell without this mark.
the wtbt$ isn't too clear on what they believe that mark is, so.... what is one thing that we cannot buy or sell without?.
money!.

gnat: DID you even read your article posted above THOROUGHLY???? Here's a quote from it:
"" In a paper last year, two economists estimated that 18 percent to 19 percent of income nationwide is not reported to the Internal Revenue Service. "The estimated $2 trillion of unreported income gives rise to and annual tax gap of $450 billion to $500 billion," wrote Richard Cebula, a professor of finance at Jacksonville University in Florida, and Edgar Feige, a professor of economics at the University of Wisconsin at Madison.
The underground economy runs on cash , which can't be traced....."
Anyone professing to be a Christian, would remember Jesus words, "Pay Caesar's things to Caesar..." It's very clear in this underground economy, Caesar is not getting paid his due tax, which puts the 'professed' Christian at odds against Christ and open for the government to come in and fine you for back taxes.
And I don't know how things work in Canada, but here in the U.S if you don't pay your property taxes, with CASH, the government TAKES your property and sells it for the back taxes due. When we sell items on Ebay, if we do not pay our sales tax to our state government then they take away our business license and fine us.
So truly, we are not free to use the barter system freely like you think we are. Most of that Bartering system is the Black Market as *Lost* so plainly explained it.
IT IS ILLEGAL!!!!

Exactly. But I think a lot of people forget this, "The ENTIRE world is lying in the power of the wicked one". If Satan didn't have control of these 'entities' then how could he offer them to Jesus if he did an act of worship to him?

The 24 Elders in Revelation are NOT the anointed......
by EndofMysteries intoday i just thought of this.
i had written a thread about the false teaching of the anointed being resurrected already.
anyway, the wt assumes the 24 elders in revelation are the 144,000, and the assumption is merely because both sit on thrones.

I found the reference in my IDB, they're claiming that Duet 34:10 is the reason for his status, but they do state that all of this regarding Moses is 'retrojection', in identifying Moses as a prophet. Other references include: Num 12:4, Duet 18:18

MP: I don't know I'm just repeating what was in this very old dictionary/encyclopedia set that I have. They claim that according to EX 2:1 Moses was also in line for the priesthood since he was a LEVITE. But he was given a 'commission' by God directly. As far as prophesying, I don't remember any right off hand myself. I don't remember any prophesying that Abraham did either, but it mentions because he was commissioned by God to go live in tents and leave the city, etc.
Him & Elijah are known in Judaism as both Priests & prophets. [Elijah even took on the role as a Priest offering sacrifice-1 Kings 18:32].

Lost: You're right about the rise of paganism. We're seeing more & more of it all the time. Here in just the past year in Albuquerque, NM we have seen a practicing witch/wiccan stab a man and kill him for her ritual. A young kid stabbed a minister because the kid thinks he's a Freemason and was doing Satan worship, etc the list just goes on and on.
